Tackle slippery floors with the Crazy Bruiser wheels. While being a hybrid wheel, we find these to perform a bit harder than the wheels in its hybrid range. The core is a big larger so it makes the wheel stiffer. This means you'll get the grip you need on a slick surface, without giving in so much on speed.

Recommended for:

  • Skaters looking for a reliable wheel on a slippery surface, without losing speed
  • Use as a 'pusher' wheel, in combination with a harder set to find the perfect balance between grip and speed on a specific surface

Not recommended for:

  • Use on sticky or grippy surfaces - these wheels are already grippy and this combination will make you feel like you're skating through mud
  • Heavier skaters - these wheels are soft and flex, you might benefit from a harder wheel and/or a stiffer core

  • Wheel height: 59 mm
  • Wheel width: 38 mm
  • Wheel hardness: 84A (this is in theory, hybrid urethane performs different)

! Set of 4 wheels - to order a full set of wheels, be sure to set your quantity to two.

What's up with these Crazy Bruiser wheels?

This wheel provides grip on slippery surfaces. The core/hub of the wheel is quite large so that the urethane (tire of the wheel), feels a bit harder than other hybrid wheels such as the Poison, Sugar or Envy. Poison wheels are loved for their grip and reliability. Pick a dimension of wheel that fits you best:

The Crazy Bruiser wheels are theoretically 84A, but the urethane blend for hybrid wheels works slightly different. In this case a number is just a number, the sensation of a wheel is something else. If you're looking for very grippy, you might want to look to hybrid wheels such as the Atom Poison, Reckless Envy or Sure Grip Sugar range of wheels (Sugar, Equalizer and Sweet 'n Low). If you're in the search for a hybrid wheel that is a little less sticky, slighty harder, but not as much as an 88A indoor wheel, this Crazy Bruiser is it.

Crazy Bruiser wheels are great, however, they can be a bit slow for more experienced skaters, especially on hard floors that aren't necessarily extremely slippery. If you feel you're having a hard time to (learn to) plow, you might want to consider a non-hybrid and harder wheel. In this situation, the wheels grip so much, you lack the necessary slide to perform a plow or hockey stop on your terms. The Crazy Bruiser is a good in-betweener, yet alternative options for you might be: Atom DNAAtom Snap (91A), Radar Sonar Striker (88A), Reckless Heartless 62 (86A & 88A),  Radar Halo (86A & 88A), Roll Line Gladiator (88A), Sure Grip Roll Out 59 (89A), Sure Grip Roll Out 62 (89A), Sucker Punch 88ARadar Flat Out (88A), Radar Flat Outrageous (88A) and Radar Bullet(88A)

If you intend to use these wheels only outdoor, invest in an outdoor specific wheel set. They will last longer and perform better under the outdoor skating circumstances. Check out our outdoor wheel range.
