When looking for extra grip and a great roll, it seems you always need to sacrifice one or the other. No longer! The Radar Villain wheels have a specifically designed stiff inner core and a grippy tire around it. Grip in the corners and speed out of them. Both the narrow and wide version only come in a smaller diameter (59 mm) for quick acceleration and increased lateral response. This is one of the fastest hybrid wheels, and it is our favourite!

Why is the Radar Villain such an exceptional hybrid wheel?
Like the Radar Bullet wheel, the Villain is built with the 'Shark Hub', providing more stiffness in the core of the wheel through convex fins running all the way to the edge of the wheel. This specific core gives your wheel a lot more roll and eliminates energy loss. What you skate is what you get. So there is your precision and roll, but you wanted more grip for that hard, slippery floor you skate on? The Villain got you covered. It has a tire of high rebound urethane gripping lovely on slick indoor surfaces.
The Radar Villain wheels are theoretically 84A, but the urethane blend for hybrid wheels works slightly different. In this case a number is just a number, the sensation of a wheel is something else. If you're looking for very grippy, you might want to look to hybrid wheels such as the Atom Poison, Reckless Envy or Sure Grip Sugar range of wheels (Sugar, Equalizer and Sweet 'n Low). If you're in the search for a hybrid wheel that is a little less sticky, slighty harder, but not as much as an 88A indoor wheel, this Radar Villain is it.
Villain wheels are great, however, they can be slow for more experienced skaters. If you feel you're having a hard time to (learn to) plow, you might want to consider a non-hybrid and harder wheel. In this situation, the wheels grip so much, you lack the necessary slide to perform a plow or hockey stop on your terms.
Alternative options for you might be: Atom DNA, Atom Snap (91A), Radar Sonar Striker (88A), Reckless Heartless 62 (86A & 88A), Radar Halo (86A & 88A), Roll Line Gladiator (88A), Sure Grip Roll Out 59 (89A), Sure Grip Roll Out 62 (89A), Sucker Punch 88A, Radar Flat Out (88A), Radar Flat Outrageous (88A) and Radar Bullet(88A)
If you intend to use these wheels only outdoor, invest in an outdoor specific wheel set. They will last longer and perform better under the outdoor skating circumstances. Check out our outdoor wheel range.
The Radar Villain wheels also come standard on a couple of complete skate setups like the Riedell She Devil and Riedell Blue Streak Sport.
